Initially, you will be posted on the pay level 10. After successfully completing 5 years, you will be promoted to the next level as mentioned below:

UPPSC PCS Job Responsibilities
- The selected officers have to collect land revenue from the people and act like courts.
- Officers have to maintain law and order in the state.
- The officers make sure that there is proper implementation of Union and State Government policies at the grass-root level is being done.
- The PCS officers act as an agent of the government on the field and are the intermediate between the public and the government.
- PCS officers handle the administration and daily proceedings of the government and they also take part in the meetings including formulation and implementation of policy in consultation with the minister-in-charge, additional chief secretary/principal secretary and secretary of the concerned department.
