 red hat careers

Our hiring process

We’re looking for creative problem solvers who have the courage to innovate. We need people who share our belief that we can do more by working together openly. If you’re ready to join an open organization based on a rich culture of inclusivity and collaboration, visit our careers site to explore current opportunities.

In the meantime, we’re here to help through every step of the hiring process. Here’s what you can expect:

Job application

Search on our careers site for a job that matches your interests and experience. To apply, click the job title and follow the steps in the application process. If you can’t find an opening that’s a good fit, join our Talent Community to stay connected for future opportunities.

Referral

If you already know someone at Red Hat, talk to them about the job you’re interested in, and ask them to refer you. Once they submit the referral, you will get an email with a link to apply.

Resume review

Once you’ve submitted your application through our careers site, your profile will be reviewed by our Talent Acquisition team. If you fit the position, we will contact you to arrange a telephone screening.

Preliminary phone screen

For most positions, our team will contact you first by phone to gauge your interest and get a better sense of your qualifications. This preliminary screen can include technical, language, and analytical aptitude assessments. If your preliminary interview goes well, we’ll invite you to a video interview.
